WAREHOUSE WORKER/EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Pahlke Steel, Inc. has immediate openings in our steel warehouse. We are currently seeking an individual with the ability to load, unload & restock material safely and efficiently. Some unloading is done with the use of an overhead crane. Other various warehouse tasks will be performed such as waiting on customers, taking material orders & cutting material to length at customer request. This position requires being on your feet for long periods of time & lifting heavy items.

Wage D.O.E., starting range $17 -$18/hour, with potential raise after 60 day probationary period and annual raises as earned. This position is full time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, no weekends.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:

Must possess valid drivers license.

Capability to lift up to 100 pounds on a regular basis.

Ability to operate & read measurement devices tape measure specifically.

Basic math skills are required.

Ability to operate the following machinery: walking crane, forklift, wheel loader

Inventory and previous shipping/receiving experience a plus, but willing to train the right, motivated person.

CANNOT Stress enough: Deadline-oriented, dependable, punctual, strong communication skills, receptive to supervision, ability to build and keep client relationships

High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.

2-4 years of experience in working with steel products preferred, but not required.

Most positions in our steel shop require moderate to heavy lifting and can be physically demanding. Must be able to work overtime as required.
