1979 GMC 6000 with service body

New Salem Fire District is selling a 1979 GMC 6000 on bids. This truck was purchased new in 1979 by the Fire District. It is in good running and driving condition with only 15831 miles. It has a 366 cubic inch big block engine with a 4 speed transmission and a 2 speed hi/low rearend. The tires are good to new condition and are 8.25-20. The service body is a Reading all steel body that measures 8 feet wide 11 feet long and 42 inches high. All fire fighting equipment has been removed except for the front pump. The truck is being sold as seen in the pictures. All bids are to be mailed to the New Salem Fire District PO BOX E New Salem ND 58563. All bids must be received by July 31.
